Ray Was Healed From a Severe Oxy Torch Burn

In 1984, a couple of brothers from the Revival Fellowship came and knocked on my door and spoke about receiving the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues. My ears pricked up and they started to tell me about Acts 2:38 and Mark 16:16. I went and found our 110-year-old family Bible and found the scriptures they mentioned. It was word for word, for what they were saying. I was really interested, and went to meetings for about 5 weeks before I got baptised at a Sunday meeting. At morning tea on the Monday, I could not believe my ears, at how my workmates were talking. At lunch time, they sounded the same, so I asked why they had such foul mouths. They looked at me shocked and said I was just like them on Friday!

It was another 14 months before I spoke in tongues. I was at a house meeting on a Friday night. It was about 9.15 pm. I was on my knees praying to receive the Holy Spirit; I think everybody else was praying for me too. I heard a guy speaking in tongues, then I realised, Hey this is me! It was great! I had tears in my eyes and so did many of those at the meeting. I had finally come home. That was the start of my walk in the Lord.

I have had lots of healings. I was a tradesman crash repairer. I was a workaholic and everything had to be done right. One major healing was from a serious burn from an oxy torch. On a Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock, I was working underneath a motor vehicle and I accidentally burnt my hand with the torch. When I got out from under the car I saw that I had a big hole in my wrist and a blue-black mark going up the back of my hand where I had burnt through all the flesh. I was shocked. I laid my other hand on it and prayed. When I took my hand off the blood flowed back and the back of my hand was healed. That shot me through the ceiling! But I still had the big hole in my wrist, it was a very nasty burn.

On the Friday, I showed my burn to one of the guys at work, who was an Ambulance Officer. He said “Ray you are in trouble. You need to see a doctor.” On the Saturday morning, I took the bandage off and the burn was completely healed. That shot me through the ceiling! It was great!
