Joe Has Been Delivered From a Life of Crime

My name is Joe Ateo. Before I was not born again I was very evil, walking out in the streets, I did bad things like womanising, stealing and robbing and all the rubbish I used to do. I was very sick with Gout.

I was at home one day and someone was preaching and witnessing outside and I said I need to invite that man into my home. I invited him in and he told me about the simple gospel message Acts 2:38 of being born again through baptism and receiving the Holy Spirit. He told me about John the Baptist and Jesus Christ and I started to realise it was truthful. Before then I had been a Four Square Pastor, then a Seventh Day Adventist and involved in many other church missions. When I heard this Gospel I left all that.

I knew now this was the right gospel, the Word I needed in my life and my family so I made my choice to be baptized. I asked the brother to baptize me early in the morning. I was baptized and received the Holy Spirit, on the 27th of November 2016 and I was born again. All the old things have gone and I know that I am a brand new man now. I do many things which I never used to do – I speak in tongues and I am happy in Christ. I would like to live in Christ, stay with Christians, and stay with the Spirit filled all the time now.
