Wesley Was Mute Since Birth, But Can Now Speak Fluently in Tongues
Wesley had never made a single sound from his throat before, he had been mute from birth. He lived locally and helped the brothers and sisters of the Popondetta Revival Fellowship dig out a large flat area, on a hillside overlooking the river.
The area was about 1,500 square metres requiring an embankment to be cut into the hill about two metres high. The cutting out and levelling of the area took about a week using shovels and wheelbarrows.
Palm accommodation huts for the “Camp of the Saints” were built for the visitors to the Popondetta Regional Rally. The floors were bare dirt with whole palm fronds, complete with their main woody stalks, spread in a single layer over them. Thin blankets were laid on top of the fronds and the beds were then ‘made’ ready for sleeping on.
After working with the saints for the week Wesley decided to get baptized and he came out of the water speaking fluently in tongues. He had never made a single sound from his throat before; he had been mute from birth! He is now starting to form words to speak to people!
