Phil Was Healed From a Heart Blockage

In 1978 I was baptised and five days later I received the Holy Spirit speaking in tongues.

In 1995 I was diagnosed with unstable angina and had two stents put in to open up two of the blockages. My symptoms returned six years later. I was again having trouble breathing, walking any distance and generally feeling tired all the time. My summing up the situation was that the medication was not working, the stents were a bit clogged or I had new blockages. I went to my doctor and was sent for an angiogram where four new blockages were detected, one being 95% blocked. While waiting for my angioplas procedure I saw a gentleman whose heart surgery scar was greatly infected and he was very ill. At that point, I decided that I didn’t want to undergo open heart surgery. There was the risk that if the angioplas didn’t work I would have to have open heart surgery.

At this point in time I was actually facing open heart surgery. The angioplas team had moved away and I was surrounded by the open heart team. An oxygen mask was put on my face, discs put on my chest and the doctor was ready with the paddles to try and shock my heart back into regular rhythm. When the heart surgeon stepped in and stopped the whole procedure by saying “Give him one more minute”, I was praying in my head asking the Lord to fix my heart. In that minute my prayer was answered as my heart returned to normal rhythm and I didn’t require open heart surgery.

I thank the Lord that He is true and faithful to His promises.
