Mandi was healed of Anxiety

‘And you shall know the truth and it shall make you free’ is one of my favourite scriptures. It says it all when it comes to walking my life with Jesus. My story began in the late 1950’s when I was born into a spirit filled family. Both my parents were Christians so I was brought up knowing the truth. When I was ten years old I prayed to God and He answered my prayer by filling me with His Holy Spirit. I knew this as I spoke in an unknown tongue as promised in Act 2:4. I had the same experience as men and women over 2000 years ago on the day of Pentecost.

Fast forward forty years and I have so much to testify of. Both my son and I, (being 8 months pregnant) were protected in a serious car accident. My grandson was miraculously healed from serious heart deformities where the medical fraternity said there was no hope. I suffered severe anxiety in my early fifties of which the Lord blessed the circumstances and helped me move forward.

Having experienced a serious mental health condition made me more aware of other people’s needs and how we all have a purpose in our walks to not only follow the Lord’s calling but to make a difference to those around us. Galatians 6:10 states –therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith. This is my all-time favourite scripture and I try to live by it. To do good to those who are yet to have a personal relationship with God by letting them know what they can experience and especially doing good to my brothers and sisters.

We are so blessed to be a part of a fellowship that faithfully preaches the Word of God but even more blessed to have such unity together. My prayer always is that I will be a good wife, mum, daughter, friend, supporter and honourable not only to God but to my amazing family of God too. I am so grateful for all that God has provided to me. I feel so blessed to be a daughter of the living God and so privileged to be one small cog in this family of God.
