Florence Found the Truth and a Real Relationship With God

I want to thank the Lord for saving me many years ago. I was born and raised to believe that I belonged to the Roman Catholic religion. My parents were raised as Catholics but we never went to a Catholic mass. At a very young age I knew in my heart that God was real and out there, and I wanted to know Him. My desire to know God grew more and more and I began to follow my cousins to their church. In that Church I threw myself into the whole experience of praying on mountain tops, wailing and crying for God to come into my heart, but I couldn’t find that spiritual intimacy with God, I was just an empty person inside struggling to be a Christian. At home I saw my parents arguing and fighting all the time and, though my Mother came to this church with me, I could not help but hate her for being a hypocrite.

One day my Mother was told about God’s salvation and we went along to a Revival Fellowship meeting in Port Moresby, where she got baptised and received the Holy Spirit and instantly spoke in strange tongues.I became a silent observer at home, just watching her and waiting for her to revert to hypocrisy. Three months passed and I couldn’t find anything wrong; her actions were those of a true Christian. On July 26 1992 at 5pm God called me into this wonderful life and I got baptised by full immersion in water and received the Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues. That was the start of my spiritual relationship with God and He instantly fulfilled my deep desire to know Him intimately. 

Since being born again, God has blessed me in many ways and many times. I received His promises in the Bible; provisions, protection, problems miraculously resolved and healing.

I am so grateful that God knows my name and hears my prayers and my faith is not based on man-made doctrines but on my personal experience and teachings that are based on the Bible. Above all and most importantly, I know I have the Holy Spirit and therefore God has made me part of His plan and I have a place in his kingdom when He returns for His people. Amen
