Brian was Healed From Glaucoma

When I first heard the gospel in 1970, my wife Ann was in the Royal Adelaide Hospital paralysed from the neck down. Although I was an atheist I agreed that the Revival Fellowship could pray for her. I thought we had everything to gain and nothing to lose. Two days later, Ann was out of bed and walking. Ann believed in God, was baptised, and received the Holy Spirit at the Revival Fellowship meeting later that week. At first, I thought these people were mad. I argued a lot with different ones. However, after 10 weeks, I decided that if it was true, then it was the best thing that could happen to a person, so why not give it a go. I was baptised and three days later. I asked the Lord to fill me with the Holy Spirit. It was a powerful time. I felt the power of the Lord surge right through me from head to toe, and I burst out speaking in tongues. I knew then God was true and Jesus was alive.

About four years after coming to know the Lord, I was tested and found to have glaucoma; my doctor and a specialist confirmed this. I told the specialist that the Lord would heal me. His answer was that medical science couldn’t heal glaucoma. The following week, after having prayer, the specialist examined me again. He was so amazed, he wrote “healed by prayer” on my medical card and said if he had not seen it for himself he would never have believed it – my eyesight was perfect. We give the Lord all the glory. There have been many other minor things that have happened along the way, but the Lord is always there, and I hope to be found still doing His will when He returns.
