Glenys was Healed From Cataracts

was diagnosed with two cataracts. The specialist said that I had a blood vessel in my left eye that had a clot in it, which had to be removed before he could even consider doing cataract surgery. I went along on five occasions to have an injection in my eye. I hated all these injections with a vengeance. After the last one I was trying to do some sewing. I looked at what I’d sewn and it was really terrible so I gave it up. The following day I was having difficulty reading. I put my hand over my right eye and discovered that I was blind in my left eye. I could just see grey light. The specialist wanted to see me straight away, and said “I noticed that when I gave you the last injection you winced. I’ve actually punctured your lens. You’ve now got a total cataract over your whole left eye. We’ll have to operate on that straightaway.”

We had lots of prayer, the family had prayer, people had prayer and fasting for me. It totally humbles me that people care enough to pray for me and go without food. When I went in for the operation the specialist said “You may need two operations. I’ll have another surgeon standing by in case anything goes wrong.” He said he’d been worrying about me all week. I said I was fine. I really did feel quite ok. I’d been praying about it and I knew that the Lord was there with me, and I’d asked Him to keep His hands on me to make sure that this doctor knows what he’s doing because I don’t want to be blind, and I went to sleep. The morning after the operation the surgeon said what a good job he’d done. He asked if I was worried and I said I wasn’t, I was praying to my God who heals and I had lots of people praying for me, particularly praying for the Lord to guide his hands so he wouldn’t have a problem with it. The Lord definitely had His hand on me for this operation just as He has done since I was baptised by immersion in 1989, received the Holy Spirit in 1990, and spoke in tongues for the first time. Praise the Lord.
