Danny was Protected From a Truck Collision

Along side of us in the right hand lane was a fully laden B double semi trailer with a row of left indicator lights making his intentions very clear. I was unsure whether Mandi my wife, who was driving, had noticed this. The driver of this big monster carried out his intentions and decided that he needed to be where we were. Over he came without hesitation and I watched (from my backseat behind Mandi) the driver side wing mirror somehow go in amongst his wheels and come out without being taken off. The sound of grinding metal as we made contact made me think he was going to open us up like a can opener. The impact was forceful, pushing us further to the left but Mandi was able to bring the car to a halt in a very calm manner. As we got out of the car, the driver of the big rig was running back and apologizing that he had not seen us and that we were in his blind spot. We were looking at my little blue Barina assessing what damage that had been caused. We began to look at each other thinking “what a miracle” because our little car had gone through this ordeal without as much as a scratch. The driver was amazed and told us that he had hit vehicles like this before unknowingly and had totally destroyed them. He said this time the impact was forceful enough for him to feel it and therefore causing him to stop.

As he scratched his head, I could hear Mandi telling the driver of the protection of the Lord. Not that interested, he said he was going to get a T shirt that said “I hit a Barina and survived“. As he left us we continued our journey home praising the Lord for what we just witnessed. Every time I drive alongside one of these big monsters now, I still marvel as to how it was possible. We know that with God all things are possible, for where we are, there He is also.
