Diane was Protected in a Domestic Violence Situation

I married at twenty-one and my husband would use physical violence against me. We had two small boys. To help me to become a better mother, and also for my own sake, I started to read the Bible. During this time I grew to know and love the Lord, and appreciate what He had done for me, which gave me back some self-respect. I read about miracles, baptism, the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues, I wanted to experience these things and know that I was doing what the Lord wanted me to do.

While out in a paddock one day I was thinking about Jesus, and singing a song about the Lord, when I started to sing in another language! I had received the Holy Spirit I had been reading about. I went to a Revival Fellowship meeting where I heard of miracles in people’s lives. I was told I could be baptized by full immersion - this I did on the Sunday, and spoke fluently in tongues.

Returning home, my husband (who had left me) was there, He didn’t like what I had done. He came at me to hit me, but it was as if the Lord put a barrier between us and he couldn’t touch me. I have also been protected from verbal mind-bending abuse. The Lord kept me strong and sane.

I have lived a very blessed life since 1974, with healings and many different needs being met. I have been remarried to a wonderful man. It is marvellous to have the joy of the Lord, with His peace that passes all understanding. I praise and thank Him.
