Joseph's Legs Stopped Working but God Healed Him

My name is Denis and I would like to share what the Lord did for us here in Liverpool. My son Joseph woke up one morning and his lower legs from knee to ankle were not working. He is 12 years old. My wife is a nurse and after two days’ observation we took him to the hospital. He was examined and given an appointment to return if things did not improve. On return to hospital he was admitted, where he remained for a week. This coincided with the London convention. My wife La Fleure and I took it in turns to stay with him, myself in the night and Fleure in the day. Joseph was sent for brain and spinal scans. He also had many blood tests, leg x-rays and nerve tests. The doctors could not find out why his legs were not working.

Joseph told me on day one that he believed that this was going to part of his testimony. On day five he told me that, although he knew I and others could not see it, he was getting stronger mentally and physically. He also mentioned that a brother, Nick Ashton’s testimony was coming to his mind. They sent Joseph home with his legs not working. A week later Joseph was walking! He wanted to go to ride his bike with his friends from the fellowship, Sean and Anna. As he hadn’t been outside since his legs began to work I told him that it was not a good idea but to take it easy. He was disappointed and he told me he was 100% healed. I repented and he rode his bike and played football with his friends for a couple of hours.

As a family we received a gift of great calm all the way through and the theme of hope at the convention literally came to life in our time of need. Joseph is healed. The Lord added to his testimony as he believed. Joseph had received the Holy Spirit at the previous year’s Summer Camp, along with other little fellas, in an environment of unity and support. They all went every night to the prayer room with their Spirit filled friends.

We hope this serves as an encouragement to others as it has done to us. It has been a very humbling experience to have received such great support from the saints in prayers and encouragement. We would like to thank you all and most of all to truly thank the Lord. God bless.
