Miriam was Healed of Venom-Induced Paralysis
Sister Miriam would cook dinner for her family every day. She would travel to the steep hills outside her village and find small animals, snakes, fruit and vegetables to cook. One day many years ago she killed a snake that she didn’t know was poisonous. She took it home and cooked it in the pot and all her family ate it. Some were sick after that, but got better after a few days. Two weeks later she felt some pain in her heart, the poison partly paralyzed her so she could only move in slithering-like movements, crawling on the ground. She could only sleep; her husband gave her very soft food that she could digest. Her symptoms were getting worse and she was looking all over for help but she couldn’t find anyone who could assist. Her husband took her to hospital to get some treatment, but the medicines didn’t have any effect. Her husband wondered what to do next for his wife. They tried all kinds of bush medicine but couldn’t find any help.
Miriam went back to hospital, she was put in a paliative care ward where she was not expected to ever leave alive. A sister named Analice from the Revival Fellowship came and told her there was a hope in Jesus Christ (Mark 16:16). She told her to go back home, repent, get baptized in water and God would heal her completely and forgive her sin. She would become a new being on this earth again. Sister Miriam put this simple message into action and was taken to The Revival Fellowship hall. After hearing many testimonies, she indicated she wanted to be baptised and she went under the water of baptism. The first miracle she experienced was speaking in tongues, a new language that she never had spoken before, this was confirmation from God that she had recieved his Holy Spirit. God healed her completely from being paralyzed and moving like a snake.
Soon after this she had 7 healthy children who are all adults now. Miriam knows God is with us and God helps us.
